Sliding Carpenters T Bevel / Gauge / Setter / Quick Lever Clamp / Tool Recycling

In the previous video, I made a carpenters square and marking gauge from a redundant wooden plane. I said I wasn’t a sentimental person, but the remaining material just seems so gormless, just wasn’t its former self, it was begging to be cooked up into something new. So in this video I will build a sliding bevel. The thread on the wooden bevel didn’t hold when using the leaver clamp, and I decided to buy M4 wooden inserts which I installed on the rear. Had I used these initially I could have hidden them within the body of the bevel. You live and learn.
