Triangle! Triangle!!! TRIANGLE!!!! #Toddler #Todzilla #SalvadorDadi #Shapes #KeleKouloumbra I have such a ridiculous job #ArtSchool #10FOOT #PushStick #Workshop #DustStar Made up a transport crate for this sculpture. Went for a ready made box to make my life easier, and packed it out with thick cardboard. I haven't had to think about negative space for a while, so it felt like I was dusting off some cobwebs upstairs. #Art #Kori #Korai #Box #Sculpture #Storage #Transportation #ArtHandling #Crate #NegativeSpace Saved this kore/korai hollow plaster cast from the bin and turned it into a pencil sharpener. Probably a copy of a copy of a copy from a museum. #Kore #Korai #PlasterCast #Archaic #Ancient #Bust #Pencil #Sharpener #Sculpture #Material #Copy Making my son a baby table. He needs one so he can learn how boring a desk job is. These are the adjustable legs which can add an additional 75mm to the height. The yellow bit is a 3D printed cover to hide the opening for the zebedee nut. The hole for the adjustable feet is drilled out with a @axminstertools drill guide and centering jig, while the zebedee opening is bored out with a @festool XL domino machine held in a jig I made. Once adjusted the foot can be locked off with a nut. #BabyTable #Table #Foot #AdjustableFeet #Festool #AxminsterTools Forgot I made this, personalised lightbox from an old @festool systainer for a colleague who retired a few years ago. Popped up on my digital brain memory. It was fun to make because I got to use hot-glue. #Lightbox #Festool #Systainer #Pete #LED #Opal #Tools #Workshop #Art An interesting example / demonstration of how paint and painting technique can transform material... btw it's knot wood. But it's still the frame for a street notice board. #Wood #HardWood #ReallyHardWood #FakeWood #KnotWood #Fake #Art #Sculpture #Paint #WoodYouBeliveIt #Grain #WoodGrain #Exotic The last complicated thing I'll work on for sometime now. A 3D printable mirror stereoscope that has taken a couple of years to finish. My brother initially designed and built something out of foam-board for some experiments he was conducting, which I later decided to re-design and make more durable using 3D printing parts and lots of mechanical vitamins. The result is this strange wright brothers-esk looking, flying contraption. It unfortunately doesn't fly, but can split and isolate the users vision (left and right eyes) while aligning the gaze to hide that split, and used to view stereoscopic 3D images. This was popular during the Victorian times so probably dull by todays standards. I like that this version looks like a weird spaceship. Anyway, I've just uploaded the project files to my website shop £££, and will hopefully publish a video about the making process and assembly this weekend. First 3 images are from the diagram accompanying the project files, 4th is me using the initial foam-board iteration, 5th and 6th are stills from the video. #MirrorStereoscope #Stereoscope #Viewer #DIY #3Dprinting #3Dprinted #ProjectFiles #PLA #STL #MiscPro #StereoscopicPhotography #Stereo #Photography #Wheatstone #MyBrainHurts Made this after watching a tired student hand-sand some material. Not sure what to call it. I had the image of a sanding glove in my mind, but it looks more like a sandal. It'll definitely sand-all. I think a sanding mitten would be more useful though. @yngntsch called it a digit-duster which I love. #HandTools #SandPaper #Moutza #Grit #CamoTape The camo-tape is there to remind me how easy it is to become desensitised...
